Chapter 1: Conference Overview

The theme of the conference was "
Remaining Sustainable Cities in the Vertical Age." This video includes an overview of the entire conference, key speakers, technical tours, welcome reception, awards dinner, exhibition, networking, and conference statistics.

Chapter 2: Plenary One Overview

The opening Plenary session set the scene for the whole conference, with two very prominent architects presenting on urban issues in both the local (Charles Correa) and international (David Nelson of Foster & Partners) context. Mr Correa spoke passionately about the unique challenges that Mumbai faces, while Mr. Nelson presented on some of Foster's best-practice urban case studies.

Chapter 3: Plenary Two Overview

The Plenary session on day 2 of the conference focused specifically on the host city and the considerable challenges it faces. First the plans underway in the city from the Metropolitan Commissioner were presented, then the Remaking of Mumbai Federation presented on their challenges in the C-ward district. Finally, CTBUH Executive Director Antony Wood presented a hypothetical project for the C-ward.

Chapter 4: Plenary Three Overview

The Plenary Session on Day 3 of the conference focused on some of the latest advances in cities and tall buildings around the world. "Father" of the eco-skyscraper, Ken Yeang, spoke about his sustainable principles, and Cathy Yang spoke of the plans to upgrade Taipei 101 into the tallest green building in the world. Finally the French "Spiderman" Alain Robert spoke about his motivations in climbing some of the worlds tallest buildings.

Chapter 5: Other Presentation Highlights

A few highlights from non-plenary sessions include: Ajit Gulabchand, Chairman, Lavasa City speaking on Lavasa, a hill city planned on the concept of New Urbanism; Gautam Chatterjee, CEO and Vice President, Mumbai Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) & Officer on Special Duty, Dharavi Redevelopment Project; and Ahmad Abdelrazaq, Executive Vice President, Samsung C&T, speaking on the Burj Khalifa.

Chapter 6: Closing & Credits

The CTBUH Mumbai Conference was titled, "Remaking Sustainable Vertical Cities in the Vertical Age." This video includes an excerpt from CTBUH Chairman Sang Dae Kim’s closing remarks, feedback statistics and comments that were collected after the conference.
