Dubai-based developer Omniyat has revealed details of its latest project on the Dubai Water Canal, a five-star hotel and luxury residential building to be managed by Dorchester Collection.
Omniyat held a black-tie gala event on March 8 to unveil the first images from its Dorchester Collection project, dubbed the Private Residences.
The property developer also announced that the project was designed by award-winning architectural firm Foster + Partners.
Located at Marasi on Dubai Canal, the Private Residences will be one of the first in the Middle East region to be managed by the London-based Dorchester, which announced its initial expansion into the Asia market last month.
Speaking after the event, Mahdi Amjad, CEO and executive chairman of Omniyat, said, “Our partnership with Dorchester Collection is a key moment in the company’s history, and it was a pleasure to reveal the project’s design to all our investors and partners on this special evening.”
The March 8 event, titled City Lines Redefined, attracted more than 1,000 regional real estate, finance, and lifestyle figures, and included a performance by Arab singer Kadim Al Sahir.
The unveiling of Private Residences follows Omniyat’s announcement in February 2018 that it has partnered with The Dorchester to manage another of its properties, the One Palm residential project on Dubai’s Palm Jumeirah.
Dorchester will be providing the building management and a la carte services to residents of that project.
Christopher Cowdray, chief executive officer at Dorchester Collection, added, “Our strategic partnership with pioneering and visionary Omniyat will bring together an architectural landmark with Dorchester Collection’s legendary hospitality. It will define the future of luxury in this vibrant region.”
