CHICAGO – CTBUH is proud to announce a new research project, “A Study on the Damping Technologies Available for Tall Buildings: Comfort and Safety,” which has received $230,000 in funding from Bouygues Construction. The project aims to create a comprehensive publication summarizing the state-of-the-art utility of damping systems in tall buildings. It is expected that the effort will result in a new, influential publication, within the CTBUH Technical Guide series.

The project will launch with an inaugural meeting on May 19, 2015 in Chicago, USA at which industry experts will discuss the overall direction of the research, the subjects to be embraced and the case studies to be included.

The Council is looking for members who are interested in contributing to the study and technical guide. If you're interested in getting involved, please contact research@ctbuh.org

This undertaking represents yet another CTBUH organizational member-funded research project, indicating the unmatched capacity of the Council to explore the most intricate aspects of tall building design.
