Marianne Kwok, Design Director at Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates, is recognized as one of the world’s leading designers of dense, urban clusters. Since joining KPF in 1994, Kwok has worked across the globe, reimagining program type and giving form to large-scale challenges.

Her interest in urbanism is borne out in multi-building cluster endeavors, such as Canary Wharf in London and One Shenzhen Bay in Shenzhen. Most recently, she has been working in close collaboration with KPF Founding Principal Bill Pedersen on Hudson Yards, the largest single private development in the history of the United States. Interweaving office, residential, retail, cultural and educational facilities, Hudson Yards has become a defining presence on the New York City skyline, with KPF's dramatic office towers (10 & 30 Hudson Yards) serving as a gateway to the new district.

Kwok received her Master of Architecture degree from the Harvard University Graduate School of Design and her Bachelor of Architecture degree from Cornell University, where she has been a visiting professor and was the recipient of the Charles Goodwin Sands Memorial Silver Medal. One of the most distinguished female architects in New York City, Kwok recently received the Commercial Observer’s prestigious Women in Construction & Design 2017 Innovative Designer/ Engineer Award.
